LB931 Examining real-world treatment patterns of locally advanced basal cell carcinomas

چکیده
Locally advanced basal cell carcinomas (LaBCCs) require multi-disciplinary treatment including surgery, radiation, and systemic therapy. There is limited real-world data on patterns for these tumors. A multicenter retrospective chart review was performed of all laBCCs. Tumors were included if they underwent surgery (amputation, exenteration, bone resection, auriculectomy, excision the face scalp > 4 cm2), radiotherapy, or Data achievement no evidence disease (NED) poor outcomes (including local recurrence, nodal metastasis, distant disease-specific death) collected. Cox proportional Hazard modelling utilized to evaluate impact number treatments required clear tumor outcomes. total 494 laBCCs identified, which 414 (84%) achieved NED within first three lines treatment. 89 (21%) tumors developed a outcome. 363 (73%) received 84 (17%) 47 (10%) therapy as line 323 (65%) that treatment, 78 (48%) second 13 (33%) third NED. more likely develop compared only (HR:2.03, 95% CI: (1.3-3.3)). Advanced treatment for basal cell carcinomas.
Basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) are very common epithelial cancers that depend on the Hedgehog pathway for tumor growth. Traditional therapies such as surgical excision are effective for most patients with sporadic BCC; however, better treatment options are needed for cosmetically sensitive or advanced and metastatic BCC. The first approved Hedgehog antagonist targeting the membrane receptor Smoot...
متن کاملTreatment of "locally advanced" well-differentiated thyroid carcinomas.
PURPOSE To analyse thyroid carcinomas having an extrathyroid extension in order to identify the principal prognostic factors and outline an effective therapeutic strategy. METHODS We selected a sample of 160 patients suffering from locally advanced "well differentiated thyroid carcinoma (T4) who had undergone surgery at the Department of Surgery of University of Rome "La Sapienza". The sample...
متن کاملValue of CD10 Expression in Differentiating Cutaneous Basal from Squamous Cell Carcinomas and Basal Cell Carcinoma from Trichoepithelioma
Background: In addition to the well-defined histological criteria for squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and basal cell carcinoma (BCC), immunohistochemical techniques can be used in difficult cases for their differentiation. As differential diagnosis between trichoepithelioma (TE) and BCC is sometimes difficult for the clinician and the pathologist, CD10 may be a useful marker for definite diagnosi...
متن کاملBasal Cell Carcinomas and Squamous Cell Carcinomas of Human Skin Show Distinct Patterns of Chromosome Loss1
Although basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas are clinically and pathologically distinct, the molecular basis for these differ ences is not clear. We have used polymorphic microsatellite markers to determine the pattern and extent of chromosome losses in a series of 44 basal cell carcinomas and 47 squamous cell neoplasms of the skin. Basal cell carcinomas showed a distinctive alle...
